At Forest City International School Boarding House, we believe that a nurturing and supportive environment is essential for the holistic development of every student. Our philosophy centers on fostering a sense of community, promoting personal growth, and ensuring academic excellence. We aim to provide a home away from home, where students can thrieve socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

Meet our leaders from Boarding Council.
FCIS boarding experience is built around three powerful ideas.
Students form real friendships, learn to live with others, and become part of a caring, international family. They connect with mentors, cultures, and values that shape who they are.
Every day is a chance to grow academically, emotionally, and socially. From learning independence to trying new activities, students build confidence and character in a safe, structured environment.
With strong support and high expectations, students excel in school and in life. They discover their strengths, set goals, and prepare for a bright future, ready to lead, serve, and succeed.
Over half of our boarding students are full boarders, joining us from across the globe — including China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Russia, Singapore, Myanmar, Vietnam, and other parts of Asia. Full boarders enjoy a true home away from home, building lasting friendships while learning structured independence. On weekends, they participate in exciting trips around Johor and Singapore and engage in a variety of enriching on‑campus activities.
Weekly boarding is especially popular among families based in Johor or Singapore. With a five‑day school week, students focus on academics and personal growth during weekdays. On Friday afternoons, they return home for family time, before coming back on Sunday by 6pm for study hall and preparation for the week ahead. This option fosters independence and confidence while reducing the daily travel burden. Students save up to 20 hours per week compared to long commutes, allowing more time for learning, rest, and relaxation.
Our boarding house is a welcoming home where every student is valued, respected, and celebrated.
